Our Trip to Forks, WA

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. We have had a really fun end of the summer. Eric's parents came and visited us and we had a lot of fun on our adventure to Forks, WA. (Royden picked our destination, I have never heard of Forks before, and if it wasn't for him, I probably never would have.)

On our short little adventure, we went on a hike, then headed down to the ocean, and then went on another hike in through the rainforest. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pics.

(Tommy is just like Eric and nothing like his mom, he loves to read all the nature signs.)

(Digging sand and rocks out of my shoe)

(What a Hunk)

(Tommy and Pappa went on quite a hike down the seashore. This is a picture of them on there way back. Tommy is picking up sticks along the way. You know Tommy, he never knows when he will need a weapon :)

(Pappa, Tommy and Nanna)

(This is my first hike all by myself, sometimes I just need to sit down and take a breather.)

(Taking a rest after our hike. It wasn't a very long hike, very kid friendly in fact. But Blake insisted hiking the whole thing by himself, which is why we are all tired. Chasing that kid can wear anyone out.)

Your pictures make me a little homesick. I lived out there in Port Angeles for all of my high school years and then some. I wonder if Forks has changed much... ;-)

Also...it looks like you went up to Hurricane Ridge - what did you think? I used to hate the drive up there, but I loved the view!

Oh yeah, I forgot you were from around there. I have to admit I was not crazy about the town of Forks. But I enjoyed all the fun things there were to do. We loved the hike up at Hurricane Ridge, but I know what you mean about the drive. Eeesh! Especially with little ones.

I don't anybody is all that crazy about the town of Forks. :) I dreaded driving through there when we'd go to the rainforest or the coast.
